Volunteer Opportunities @ NPCA
North Penn Civic Association has multiple opportunities for volunteering.
a. Grounds Keeping – one or two hours once a week helping to keep the park area clean and free from debris.
b. House Keeping – one or two hours once a week helping to keep the community building and offices clean.
c. Administrative Support – one or two hours once a week providing data entry services, filing forms, answering telephones, meet and greet visitors, etc..
d. Program Support – one or two hours once a week providing assistance for various programs being conducted such as re-arranging furniture; setting up displays; video taping audience; etc..
e. Distribution Services – one or two hours once a week distributing literature such as flyers, posters, newsletters, etc. to various business locations; door to door residential; outlet promotional tables, etc..
Individuals wishing to become a volunteer with North Penn Civic Association may do so by contacting the NPCA offices at 215-227-3622 for an interview, orientation, and registration. NPCA accepts Adjudicated individuals under court order for community service; High School students required for credits with community service; residents and interested individuals wishing to volunteer, etc.. All volunteer services performed at North Penn Civic Association is on a non paid basis. All volunteer services performed are in-kind services. A stipend is made possible depending upon the program selected. Volunteers may work weekday and/or weekends. Call Irvin B. Shannon, NPCA Activities Coordinator for an interview.
